We want to raise awareness about declining testosterone levels among young men. In our last blog, we talked about the symptoms and some of the causes of low testosterone. This time, we want to share some practical tips for boosting your testosterone levels and become unstoppable within a few weeks!
- Lift heavy: Weight training has been shown to increase testosterone levels in men. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise per day, five days a week. NO EXCUSES.
- Get quality sleep: Lack of sleep can lower testosterone levels, so make sure you're getting 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Try to maintain a consistent sleep schedule and create a relaxing bedtime routine.
- Manage stress: Chronic stress can also lower testosterone levels, so find ways to manage stress. Tip: use your calendar to plan activities for yourself, such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga.
- Fuel your body: Eat shit = feel shit. Eat clean = feel great. A diet rich in protein, healthy fats, and vitamins and minerals (especially zinc and vitamin D) can support healthy testosterone levels. If you want to go to the next level, start with making the right eating decisions. Tip: sticking to a diet will also boost your self-discipline in general.
- High fat percentage = LOW T-levels: Being overweight or obese will lower testosterone levels, so aim to maintain a healthy weight through a combination of diet and exercise.
- Limit alcohol and drug use: Alcohol consumption and drug use will disrupt hormone levels, including testosterone.
I challenge you to take ownership of your life and show your body some love. Whether you're looking to build muscle, improve your sex drive, or just feel your best, optimizing your testosterone can help you achieve your goals.
